We are so happy to have Mason home. Let me start out by saying how much of a blessing it is to have your entire family home and in one place. I guess I never thought about what would happen if that couldn't always be the case. All through my pregnancy with Mason was normal. I never had any problems, it was a normal healthy pregnancy. I went into labor on March 30th about 6:00 pm by 11:30pm that night we went to the hospital because the contractions (even though they weren't very painful) were coming every 4-6 minutes. I really didn't think it was the real thing but it turns out that it was and about 10 hours later Mason was born. I had a really easy delivery no complications.
Once Mason was out they cleaned him up and gave him to me. I held him for about 2 minutes and then they took him from me. Not knowing what was going on, I said, "What is wrong?" The nurse said that his body temperature wasn't warming up like it should. So they put him back under the hot lights. Andrew and Haylee came arrived at the hospital and came into the room just in time for the nurses to take Mason out. He apparently was having breathing problems as well. It all happened so fast and the next eleven days seem to all have ran together.
My mom was on her way up and I am so greatful because I would not have gotten through it without her. Mason ended up being in the NICU for the next 11 days of is life. The doctors thought he might have an infection so they started him on antibiotics and constantly monitoring his breathing. The doctors never found an actual diagnosis for why he was breathing so rapidly so they just monitored him for seven days straight and as long as he didn't have a breathing spell he could come home.
And so my journey started...I was breast feeding him so every 3 hours I was going to the hospital to feed him. When I was at the hospital it would take at least an hour to feed him beacuse he was so sleepy. He would fall to sleep when he was eating (which doesn't seem like a bad thing) but he had to have a certain number of ounces every 12 hours or the nurses would have to put a tube down him nose into his stomach to feed him. I hated this more than anything because he already had so many needles and iv'ies in his little body. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was to leave my baby in the hospital when I had to go home after my stay. But we made it through. He came home on April 11th and he has been doing great. He is such an angel and a true blessing to our family.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers on our behalf we really appreciate all the help we had during this hard time.

We had Scott's dad take our family pictures today! It was so much fun, despite the freezing cold weather (24 degrees) they turned out way cute. We were worried Hayhay wouldn't cooperate because of the freezing cold weather but she was so cute. She cried when we were all done and there were no more pictures to take. Here are just a few of my favorites...

What we've been up to...

Things have been very busy lately around our home but the most exciting news we've received recently is that we are having a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited for the little guy to come into our family. Scott and Andrew were so stoked and they claim to have known it all along. I am doing good just starting to get the round belly. I can't wait until April to say the least.

We went to Vegas for Thanksgiving to spend it with my family and we had a blast. I love getting to go see my family and hanging out with them all day. We had a great dinner over at my aunts house and Haylee loved playing with their dog. Then on Friday morning we were up at 5:00 to join the crazy people for some shopping. We got a bunch of stuff for Christmas and had alot of fun.

I am so excited for Christmas and winter. I love this time of year! We put up our christmas tree and our decorations (pictures to come later) Andrew and Haylee are getting so big and they are so much fun. I love being a mom.

SURPRISE

SURPRISE...Ready or not...Baby number 2 is on its way! We are so happy to annouce that we are expecting our third child. I found out about a month ago and was totally shocked. We are so excited and everything is good so far. I had an ultrasound last week and everything looks great, we got to hear the babies (only one) heart beat and it was so cute. Scott and Andrew are convinced that it is definately a boy. Haylee thinks it is in her belly because everytime we say, "Haylee where is the baby?" She points to her belly (it is so cute). And I am still trying to get over the shock. Needless to say I am so thrilled that I am priviledged enough to get to bring another baby into this world. They really are little angels and such sweet spirits sent from heaven. Little baby we can't wait to meet you!!!!

Haylee's 2nd Birthday!

Haylee's 2nd birthday was last week on August 18th! She was so cute. We had a little birthday party for her when we were in Vegas with my family. She was so cute when she opened her new clothes she hugged them. We love you so much Hay Hay and can't believe how big and beautiful you are getting.

BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!

Andrew started 4th grade last Thursday and he was so excited. When he came home he let me know that 4th grade is soooo much better than 3rd grade because you get to sit wherever you want at lunch. WHOOO HOOO I was so happy for him. He is getting so big so fast and I can't believe how much I love him. He is such a great son and a wonderful big brother.

Haylee loved this dressed up M&M. She would not leave him, she kept giving him hugs and hi fives. It was so cute!

We went to M&M World, CocaCola Factory, ESPN Zone, and the Shark Reef Museum. It was all so much fun. But Andrew and Scott definately loved ESPN Zone the best

This was at the Shark Reef where we saw giant sharks, turtles, alligators, and tons of other animals. My sister Cole and Brother Kyle went with us and we had so much fun!

This summer we went to Vegas for a week for our family trip. We had such a fun time being tourists and getting to see my family every day. We stayed in a really cool condon with four different pools. It was so much fun just to get away.

HEellloooo to the blog world. Yes, we are all alive and doing well! We have had some crazy few months but all is well. So, here is what we've been up to...

First of all we moved back up to Utah County and are trying to adjust to life again up here. We were so sad to leave St. George but what do you do. The kiddos are doing great. Andrew is back at his old school with all his old friends and cousins. He loves it. He tried out for a super league baseball team and made it so most of our days and nights are spent doing baseball practices and or games. He is so cute and loves playing the game. (Scott is eating up every moment of this baseball season.) Haylee is so bid and is starting to talk even more. Her favorite word is, just guess.... "NOOOO" and she'll let you know when she means it. Scott and I are adjusting to the move and enjoying our kids and how much they are growing.

I've taken up two new goals:
#1-run everyday so my sister-in-law and I can run (and survive) in the Cedar Hills 5k in June.
#2-Post on the blog weekly so 4 1/2 months don't go by again with no news.

Well I guess I'll be posting again next week!!!! Once I get our computer hooked up...pictures will surely come of the last 4 months.

California Trip

This last week went to Rancho Cucamonga, California so Scott could help with the grand opening of the new Tai Pan there. So, here are some picutes from our trip!

While we were at the hotel we went swimming and the kids loved it.

Inside the mall they had a train that you could take rides in. Andrew thought this was pretty cool.

We went to this giant mall in Ontario and Haylee loved the animals in the Rain Forest Cafe.

This was her limo and you can kind of see the front of the new store. It is really pretty.

We got to meet Marie Osmond at the new Tai Pan in California. She was hilarious! I wanted to ask her about fainting on Dancing With the Stars but I didn't. She was really nice and it was great for Tai Pan to have her there.

Scott and Andrew both got to look through cool telescopes. They loved this!

The Corn Maze

We went to the Stahlie Farm Corn Maze with my cousin Kristi and her family we had a blast. We went through the scarry corn maze even though it wasn't haunted it was still scarry because it was pitch dark. We had alot of fun!

Here is Andrew at one of his flag football practice's. He is so cute. Look at his big muscles. He has a game on Saturday and hopefully they will win but we will enjoy it come rain or shine. But I hear it's supposed to be a lot of rain.

Haylee got her first cut that needed a band aid! It was so cute I had to take a picture of it. We were at Andrew's football practice and she pulled a bike over on top of her. I didn't even realize she cut the top of her toe until we were leaving the practice when I saw the blood. But needless to say, she survived. I just can't get over how cute her little toe is in the batman bandage. (I guess it's time to buy some girly ones!)

We loved the dessert the best...yummy!

This was the best part...the Dessert! We ordered a Chocolate Turtle Caramel dipping sauce. Isn't it pretty I almost didn't want to eat it...but we all know that didn't last long! LOL

On Saturday night we went out to dinner with my best friend Anjuli and her husband Cooper. Cooper called me about 3 weeks ago to set the night up. It was Anjuli's 23rd birthday and he wanted to surprise her. We planned to go to the Melting Pot and then afterward Anjuli and I went to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. It was so amazing. Anjuli had no idea that we were in Las Vegas and when the waiter was sitting them at the table there we were! We had gotten to the Melting Pot early so it was a big surprise to her when we were there. She is so cute she of course screamed really loud. The food was amazing we had steak, lobster, shrimp, and a ton of other things but those were my favorite. Then we went to see Phantom and it was amazing. From the great singers to the props and the amazing chandelier. It was such a fun night. Thanks Anjuli for having such a cute husband to plan all of this in advance. We love ya.

Andrew went to his first day camp for scouts. He loved it. Scott got to go as the leader and Andrew loved having his dad there. They played games, made a shield and sword, ate lunch, and had a lot of fun.

Hoorrayyy!!!!!!!!!! Haylee finally took some really cute pictures. Last weekend we took her to get her 1 year pictures done and she would not smile. She was happy but just not in the mood to be cute...i guess. But yesterday Andrew and I took her and to say she was smiley is an understatement. She is such a cheese ball. Yes, it's true she may have a future in the modeling business. She was so happy smileing at the camera and laughing and playing with Andrew and I. I was so releieved. We loved playing with her. This weekend was Scott birthday! He wasn't excited about it but Andrew and I were. We made him the cutest coin jar with pictures of our family mod podged on it. Andrew painted it blue and I put the pictures on it. It is way cute. He loved it. We went to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and had some great food. We love that place.

This is my question....Why are kids so crazy? On Saturday we went to get Haylee's pictures taken. Ok, I have been waiting for a while for this and she looked liked the cutest baby. She was laughing and smiling at home and we get to the studio and she won't smile for anything. She wouldn't sit on the chair or even smile at the camera, all she wanted to do was walk around and play with all the fun props they had there. So needless to say we didn't buy or even finish the pictures. Maybe next time she will do better. (Let's pray that she will!)

Knott's Berry Farm

Summer Trips!!!

This summer we went on two family trips. First we went to L.A. to watch the Dodgers play a baseball game. We had so much fun. The boys loved it so much. While we were there we also went to Knott's Berry Farm. It was so fun. Andrew and Haylee loved every minute of that day. Haylee was the best baby. She only had a 20 minute nap all day long from 10 a.m to 11 p.m. and she was still so good. Andrew went on his first real roller coaster...ummm... not sure if he'll ever go again. We had a blast hangin' out with my family and spending time together.

For our second trip we went up to Cedar Hills in Utah (where we used to live) and spent five days with Scott's side of the family. We went to Seven Peaks a way fun water park, boating at Deer Creek, and hung out with the family. We had a blast spending time playing games especially Bogle (uh, I think that's a word). It was Andrew and Haylee's first time on a boat and they loved it. Andrew went tubing for a little bit and then swam around in the warm water. He loves the sun. Scott went fishing with Alan (brother in law) but they didn't catch anything. We were especially glad to spend some extra time with Bret who is Scott's brother who just left on his mission the San Juan, Perto Rico. We miss him but are glad he is such a great example.

We had such a great time this summer and loved being with our families!
